SM City San Jose del Monte and SM Center Pulilan recently earned Safety Seal certification from governing city and municipality after confirming that the malls are compliant to the government-mandated health protocols.

The Safety Seal was awarded to SM Regional Manager for Operations Lea Sta Ana (left) and to SM Mall Manager Jose Mari Emmanuel Correa (right) by Mayor Arthur Robes (middle) during the launch of the program in San Jose del Monte. The Safety Seal application of SM was followed by other business establishments in the city.

Following SM City Baliwag and SM City Marilao, SM Center Pulilan was the third SM mall to receive the Safety Seal certification in the province of Bulacan.

The Municipality of Pulilan lead by Municipal Mayor Maria Rosario Ochoa-Montejo personally accorded the seal to SM Center Pulilan recently.

“We are humbled by the recognition. The “Safety Seal” symbolizes our commitment to put on top the health, safety and well-being of our shoppers as we navigate the new normal” shares SM Center Pulilan Assistant Mall Manager Alvin De Galicia.

On the other hand, the Safety Seal for SM San Jose del Monte was received by SM Regional Manager for Operations Lea Sta Ana and Mall Manager Jose Mari Emmanuel Correa by City Mayor Arthur Robes during the brief launch of the program in the city.

Correa thanked all the local government agencies who took time to inspect and evaluate the mall especially the DTI and DILG.

SM Center Pulilan receives PH’s Safety Seal accorded by Pulilan Municipal Mayor Maria Rosario Ochoa-Montejo together with SM Assistant Vice President for Mall Operations Junias Eusebio. SM Center Pulilan is one of the first recipient of PH’s Safety Seal in Bulacan following SM City Baliwag and Marilao.

“We all know that the Safety Seal is a big help to restore the confidence of our customers, and for us, it serves as a recognition of our hard work in ensuring the safety of every shopper,” he added.

With this, all SM malls in the province were already granted safety seals indicating that the establishments are strictly observing the minimum public health standards for safety and security.

Moreover, business establishments inside SM Malls are similarly having their own certification and are on the process of inspection and evaluation. This is to increase the consumer confidence as the government gradually opens the economy.

The Safety Seals given to SM and its business partners are valid for six months upon the issuance date.

Lastly, under #SafeMallingAtSM campaign, SM malls will continue to implement strict safety protocols to keep its stakeholders safe at all times, and to retain the Safety Seal certification.
