Sustainable Development Exhibit and Documentary viewing held at SM Baliwag earned positive responses

Jeph Ramos welcomes everyone to the SusDev Exhibit and Film ShowingAs a part of the upcoming World Creative Youth Forum, Brotherhood of Destiny (BROOD) in cooperation with SM Baliwag and held a Sustainable Development Exhibit and Documentary viewing at SM Baliwag events center, Baliwag, Bulacan last February 28, 2009.

This event aims to incorporate education on sustainable development and protection for the environment. Amongst those who exhibited in the event were: Youth for Sustainable Development Assembly (YSDA), All Together in Dignity (ATD) Fourth World, Kalikasan, People’s Network for the Environment, Rotaract Club of AMA Computer University of Quezon City, World March for Peace and Non-Violence, Generation Peace Network and Philippine Federation for Environmental Concern (PFEC). These organizations had highlighted photos and other information about sustainable development, climate change, non-violence and human rights.

In addition, , Ms. Bea Misa of YSDA, Mr. Osbi Santillan World March for Peace and Non-Violence and Mr. Noel Orate, Rotaract Club of AMACU spoke in behalf of all the expectators.

Engr. Rheybie C. Nipas, the Asst. Mall Manager of SM City BaliwagThe documentary viewing that was held later that afternoon was participated by mostly students in Baliwag. Among the featured documentaries were Masaid na Yaman: An Overview of Phil. Environmental Situation; People Making Peace – the story of the situation in Mindanao through Tabang Mindanao; and Ehemplo – a documentary on good governance.

Over all, this entire event had been successful. Positive responses were gained from the students, shoppers and even the administrative staff of SM Baliwag.
