Ala-ala ng Nagdaang Panahon: Mga Pelikula (Movies of Yesteryears)

"Buhay Bombero" ("Fireman Life" FGO Films 1968)
Philippine King of comedy Dolphy stars as Ompong, a bumbling Manila fireman, and Maggie dela Riva plays his girlfriend Margarita.

Waray Waray" (LVN Films 1954)
Nestor de Villa plays Delfin, a women's wear salesman who falls in Love with feisty "waray" Upeng (Nida Blanca). The Nida-Nestor tandem was one of the most successful Love teams in Philippine cinema in the 1950s. Also in the clips are Leroy Salvador and Lorna Mirasol.

"Tawag ng Tanghalan" (Sampaguita Pictures, 1958)
Romeo Vasquez and Jose Mari Gonzales performing the rousing rock and roll number "Great Balls Of Fire!". Also in the clip are Patsy and Ike Lozada.

"Giliw Ko" ("My Darling" LVN Films 1939)
Here are Fernando Poe, Sr. and Mila del Sol singing the title song from the classic Filipino motion picture. Also in the clip is Cecilio Joaquin. In 1998, the only remaining 16mm print of this movie was taken to Australia where it was digitally restored by the National Film and Sound Archive in Canberra and the Philippine Information Agency. "Giliw Ko" is one of only a small number of Filipino motion pictures that survived World War II.

Rogelio dela Rosa and Carmen Rosales singing the title song from the movie. Rogelio dela Rosa and Carmen Rosales were the premiere Love team of the Philippine movie industry in the 40s and 50s.

Former boxing champion Gallo (Tony Marzan), now blind from one too many punches to the head and devastated by the mistaken fact that the woman he loves has married another man, decides to end his life by jumping in front of a moving locomotive. Meanwhile his best friend Choy (Dolphy) and his girlfriend Betsy (Marlene Dauden), together with the woman Gallo loves, Nona (Barbara Perez), race to find him before he succeeds in commiting suicide. Here is Gloria Romero in the title role of "Kurdapya" (Sampaguita Pictures 1955). Also in the clip are Philippine King of comedy Dolphy and Aruray.
